More than 120 Chinese and overseas films across genres have been released this season, with daily box office revenue surpassing 100 million yuan for a month. Domestic animated hit All Wishes Come True has led the year’s animation chart with over 1.4 billion yuan in ticket sales. Spider Man: Brand New Day ranked third after opening in Chinese mainland cinemas two days ahead of its North American release.
